Impotence: to Treat or Prevent?
Statistics say that erectile dysfunction or impotence is one of the most common male diseases. But thank God in the vast majority of cases it is quite curable.Of course, the best way to avoid the problems connected with erectile dysfunction is prevention of disease. In this article I will give men some advice on how to avoid the disease (of course, they know them, but rehearsal makes perfect!). They look like hackneyed truth and that is really so. It's much easier to consider special health activities than discuss the ways to cure impotence because medical treatment (especially in cases of severe erectile dysfunction) is a very special question requiring special knowledge and medical education.
Anyway, a few words about treatment...
Our world is full of diseases and many of them can lead a man to impotence. If you have noticed some symptoms or have had a fiasco in bed - it is not the reason for worry. But if something like that happens periodically, you should consult your doctor and undergo a course of medical treatment if necessary. Your doctor may prescribe you drugs for erectile dysfunction, but there are some neglected cases of impotence when such drugs as Viagra, Cialis and Levitra just help men to live a full life but don't cure! Remember - only a qualified specialist has a right to institute therapy in such cases. A real impotent man can take these medicines just to arrange his sexual activity but if he wants to take something special - I would strongly recommend him to consult a doctor. Self-medication is an unacceptable way to treat neglected cases of impotence!
How to prevent impotence or make the course of the disease softer?
I won't break new ground if say that the best way to prevent the occurrence of erectile dysfunction is to leave a healthy life-style. This way is as old as time... But! Remember - this is the most effective, smooth and painless, cheap and pleasant way to remain in good sexual health and reach a great age. As for me, I go in for sports very actively but not regularly. You may ask me - why do you go to gym, strain yourself, loose time and spend money if it's much easier to take a pill and your penis works like a clock , all is order! For God's sake, I do it not only for my penis! I do really feel good thanks to physical activity. As for impotence drugs - I am able to have sex without any pills, gels and tabs at all (though, it used to be worse) but I take them sometimes just to make my erection stronger and longer and prolong a coition, giving more pleasure to my wife.
Well, let's return to our muttons - how to avoid erectile dysfunction or make the course of the disease softer?
1. Stop smoking and taking alcoholic drinks or just try to reduce it to a minimum. To be honest, it's better to get out of the habit of smoking at all. It's needless to say about illegal drugs!
2. Take simple physical exercises in the mornings. I know, it's very hard work to force your own body to wake up earlier but it's up to you to decide what is more important - to sleep late or to be healthy!
3. Stick to the diet. I don't mean a health-food kick, just try to eat more fruits and vegetables and try to keep away from fattening foods.
4. Try not to get stressed. The vast majority of men, living under a great stress, have problems with sexual potency. People get just one bite at the cherry of human life - you know it better than I do!
5. Spend more of your time with your wife or lover, communicate with her because it is a great miracle when your sex partner understands you capitally always being ready to support you if you have faced the disease or when you are under treatment. I can remember the first time I learned that I, actually, was impotent. It took me a long time to make bold to tell my wife the truth. Thank her for sticking with me! It was a kind of sex therapy!
As you have already understood impotence is curable and the verdict isn't in! Sure, it's much easier to prevent the appearance of the disease than to cure it. But when it comes to the medical treatment, it may take months or even years! Does it mean that a couple or a man can have a sex only after the end of the treatment? By no means! Modern medical products, like Viagra, Cialis and Levitra (branded, generic - no matter what they call them!) can help you to rediscover the joys of life, giving you possibility to have regular sex.
